There have been long-standing calls to boycott the Canadian bookstore chain Indigo Books due to their support and complicity in Israel’s genocide. In 2006, the Coalition Against Israeli Apartheid launched a campaign against Chapters and Indigo Bookstores with pickets in Toronto and Montreal. And this boycott campaign continues today.
Why should you boycott Indigo Books?
The CEO of Indigo Books is the Director of HESEG, a foundation established in 2005 that recruits mercenaries (or as they say “lone soldiers”) to enlist in the Israeli military. This means that the profits they make from Indigo are directly supporting the Israeli military, which continues it’s campaign of ethnic cleansing and genocide of Palestinians across historic Palestine.
